Is there a guarantee?

Yes. All Cornish Carpet fittings have a 12 month warranty with all the work that we do to give you peace of mind.

Many of the carpets and vinyls also have a 5, 7 or 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee on wear and stain resistance as well. See individual pages for details.

EXPERIENCED

Will my carpet be fitted by someone who knows what they’re doing?

Yes. Bill Chapman, owner and operator of Cornish Carpets, fits all the carpets himself. He has been working in the carpet industry since 1977, and owned his own carpet fitting company for many years. Cornish Carpets is a new venture for Bill, but he’s not a stranger to the business of fitting carpets and vinyls.

REMOVAL

Can you take away my old carpet?

We are unable to remove any floor covering from your property at the moment, but i am happy to take up your floor coverings and cut them to manageable pieces so you can take them away

Why won’t you come up to East Cornwall?

Because of where I am based, and where my supplier is based, it is impractical for me to work such a long distance away. Apologies. Unfortunately I cannot cover the Isles of Scilly either.

TIMESCALE

I need a carpet fitting really quickly, before my guests arrive. Can you fit me in?

In an emergency, I can work over the weekend, and through the night, to fit a carpet or vinyl. Give me a call, and I’ll see if I can help you out.

SUITABILITY and DURANCE

I’ve got a holiday home that needs re-carpeting. Can you provide something that will be suitable, and last well?

Yes, certainly. Cornish Carpets has worked on a number of holiday properties, and we can arrange the work between your guests. All our carpets are durable and will last well in your property.

UNDERLAY

Do you supply underlay?

Yes.  Cornish Carpets can supply underlay in several thicknesses – 8mm for bedrooms and 10mm for heavy wear ares The cost is slightly more for the thicker versions.  The difference in thickness of the underlay effects the feel of the finished carpet.  Thicker underlay gives a more luxurious feel.  All the underlay supplied by Cornish Carpets comes with a lifetime of carpet warranty.
